The following vehicles are exempt from the LEZ:
a) electric, hybrid or hydrogen vehicles;
b) vehicles to CNG and LPG, or bi (petrol-methane, gasoline, LPG) using gas in the LEZ;
c) vehicles of the Police Forces, the Armed Forces and Fire Brigade;
d) Civil Defence vehicles;
e) vehicles of public assistance and doctors;
f) vehicles used for urban hygiene;
g) vehicles serving disabled persons bearing the provisions of the Highway Code;
h) vehicles used to transport people to healthcare facilities for
undergo medical examinations, treatments and tests in possession of relevant medical certification;
i) vehicles following funeral ceremonies;
j) historic vehicles if in possession of a Certificate of Identity / Approval issued following registration in the appropriate historical records. The document must be kept on the vehicle and performed at the request of the authorities
k) public service vehicles belonging to companies that perform urgent and
maintenance on key services (eg gas, water, electricity, telephony), vehicles
equipped for emergency response and maintenance of electrical, hydraulic, thermal and technological;
m) Vehicles travelling to the annual maintenance inspection, only on the path necessary;
n) Vehicles engaged in unusual or unique activities have specific authorisation by the Municipal Police.
o) vehicles engaged in unusual or unique activities with special authorisation issued by the Municipal Police;
o) vehicles where the owner holds appropriate documentation which demonstrates:
- Having bought a compliant vehicle;
- Have booked the conversion to a gas engine.
The exemption is valid for a maximum of 90 days;
p) cars with at least three people on board (car pooling);
q) vehicles participating in controlled studies by the City to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions.
r) vehicles were equipped with an approved diesel particulate filter;
s) vehicles issued workshops within the LEZ, limited to 4 permits per day.
