Lyon, France's second city has announced an emergency air pollution odd even number plate scheme from the 23rd January 2017 to reduce high levels of pollution.

Vehicles without at least the orange (number 3) French LEZ Stickers (Crit'Air vignettes) are subject to an odd-even number plate traffic ban.

  • On odd days vehicles with license plates ending in an odd number are allowed to circulate.
  • On even days, only vehicles with license plates ending in an even number are allowed to circulate.
