On the 17th January 2017, Oslo enacted its emergency air quality plan, and banned diesel vehicles with less than Euro 6 emissions standard.

Oslo also had an emergency air quality scheme last year, banning odd-even number plates. However, this now the city can also ban diesel vehicles with less than Euro 6 emissions standard. 

The scheme was in place for one day.
