Corona: London postpones enforcement of stricter LEZ rules for freight vehicles

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has asked TfL to delay the enforcement of the new rules.

They will be postponed for at least four months to allow the freight industry to focus on its core operations during the pandemic.
Tougher DVS safety standards for heavier vehicles are coming on 26 October 2020, but no enforcement will be introduced until the end of February 2021.

This is to give the freight industry more time to meet the new standards as they face intense demands from the coronavirus pandemic.
