UVAR4US is a DUT Driving Urban Transitions project, that examines how Urban Vehicle Access Regulations (UVAR) can be used to support the 15-minute city concept (15mC), which in turn contribute to net-zero, liveable, multi-functional urban spaces.

Within the project, four cities, so-called Living Labs – Helsingborg (Sweden), Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain), Ioannina and Kozani (Greece), will implement and validate various UVAR measures.

The project will provide:

  • An open knowledge base with UVAR solutions in cities and their impact on the 15-minute city concept and car dependency
  • A method for citizen participation when implementing UVARs in cities.
  • The UVAR4US toolbox supporting the design of UVAR scenarios and decision-making.

The project is funded by DUT Driving Urban Transitions, together with the national funding agencies of the different partners in Sweden (RISE and Helsingborg), Germany (Rupprecht Consult and Sadler Consultants who run this www.urbanaccessregulations.eu website), Belgium (UGent), Italy (TRT), Greece (Living Prospects and CLUBE) and Spain (GAIA).
