Emilia Romagna, Piemonte and Veneto have activated their winter smog schemes 1 October 2020.
This smog scheme season is divided in two parts as the standard is tightened in January 2021 again.
Emilia Romagna
To be able to circulate freely in the cities affected, your vehicle has to meet the following standards
Monday to Friday from 08:30 - 18:30
1 October 2020 - 10 January 2021:
o petrol Euro 2
o diesel Euro 4
motorcycles
o petrol Euro 1
11 January 2021 - 31 March 2021:
o petrol Euro 3
o diesel Euro 5
hybrids
o Euro 2
motorcycles
o petrol Euro 2
Emilia Romagna also has an emergency scheme in place that is triggered when the PM10 levels are exceeded on 3 successive days.
If the emergency scheme is active the Euro standard is then tightened to:
1 October 2020 - 10 January 2021:
o diesel Euro 5
11 January 2021 - 31 March 2021:
o diesel Euro 6
Piemonte
