Grace period is over 1 March 2021.

The new environmental zone regulations took effect in November last year, but offenders only received a warning letter in recent months. That way, everyone had time to get used to and adjust to the new rules.

Diesel cars and diesel delivery vans have to meet at least Euro 4 standard to be allowed to circulate in the low emission zone of Amsterdam.

The fines in 2021 are:

• passenger cars, vans, taxis, coaches and buses: € 100
• trucks: € 250
• mopeds: € 70
