District Bahnstadt no longer allows motorised vehicles to circulate.

The center of Bahnstadt in the southeast of Heidelberg implemented the scheme in March 2023.
Slender mechanical bollards prevent motorized vehicles from passing through, while cyclists can circulate without any problems. 
Rescue vehicles can open the bollards in an emergency and pass through Langen Anger.
