Stuttgart Smog Alarm period starts again on 15 October 2019 for 6 months.
There is also a legal ban on 'comfort fires' (fires that are not the primary source of heat) that starts at 18:00 the day before the alarm.
Stuttgart has improved the public transport. There is more capacity, simpler, cheaper travel zones. A single ticket for all Stuttgart is 2.50€, a day ticket 5.20€ (5€ with the mobile phone).
