Check if you are allowed to circulate during a French pollution alert, in regions or cities.
An emergency scheme can be activated when PM10 levels are reached or estimated to be reached. 
The region or department then decides on the measures that have to be taken to lower the PM10  levels. This might include a driving ban for certain vehicles depending on their Euro standard.
