Logistics zero emission zones in the Netherlands

From 1 January 2025, lorries and vans that run on petrol, diesel and biodiesel, LPG, or hybrid fuel will no longer be allowed into the city centre of various Dutch cities.

However, zero-emissions vehicles (such as electric or hydrogen-powered vehicles) will be free to access this designated zone. This has a huge impact on suppliers and service providers working in the centres of the cities that decided to implement the scheme. There is a phase-in arrangement, so see how your vehicles are affected.

The first 15 cities affected are: Amersford, Amsterdam, Assen, Delft, The Hague, Eindhoven, Gouda, s'-Hertogenbosch, Leiden, Maastricht, Nijmegen, Rotterdam, Tilburg, Utrecht and Zwolle.
