20 more Spanish cities have low emission zones on 1st January 2025

These cities started their low emission zone - called ZBE in Spanish - on 1 January 2025:

Alcobendas, Avila, Benidorm, Burgos, Chiclana de la Frontera, Dos Hermanas, Lleida, Majadahonda, Molina de Segura, Mollet del Valles, Mostoles, Palma de Mallorca, Parla, Sabadell, San Sebastian, Segovia, Terrassa, Torrelavega, Valladolid and Vigo.

There are many low emission zones, called zonas de bajas emisiones (ZBE) in Spanish, either in place or just about to be implemented in the next months.
Only vehicles meeting the required standard can enter the cities without being fined.

However, some cities implement the schemes differently
