Many new Low Emission Zones in Spain by 2024

All Spanish cities with more than 50.000 inhabitants need to implement a LEZ by 2025.

Some cities are earlier to start the scheme, sometimes with less tight standards or as emergency schemes.
These are the cities that started their ZBE 2024:

Almeria, Bilbao,Boadilla del Monte, Castellon, Cerdanyola del Valles, Cordoba, El Prat de Llobregat, Fuenlabrada, Gava, Getafe, Guadalajara, Linares, Marbella, Mollet del Valles, Sant Boi de Llobregat, Terrassa, Torremolinos, Viladecans and Zaragoza.

There are many low emission zones, called zonas de bajas emisiones (ZBE) in Spanish, either in place or just about to be implemented in the next months.
Only vehicles meeting the required standard can enter the cities without being fined.
