Some northern Italian regions, in those of Veneto, Piemonte and Emilia Romagna, winter LEZs and emergency schemes re-start this autumn.

The pollution in the northern Italian Po Valley area is very high, due to high population, lots of industry and being surrounded by mountains. This is illustrated really well by the photo in the EU Copernicus journal article.

They re-start either on the 15th September or the 1st October, or in a few cases the 1st November,
