From 1 January 2025, in many Dutch city centres have zero emission zones for logistics vehicles.
This means that newly registered petrol, diesel and biodiesel, LPG lorries and vans will no longer be allowed to access these zones. There is a phased introduction, and in 2028 all vans need to be zero emission, 2030 all lorries.
However, zero-emissions vehicles (such as electric or hydrogen-powered vehicles or cargobikes) will be free to access this designated zone. There are phase-in arrangements, so see how your vehicle is affected.
The cities of Amersford, Amsterdam, Assen, Delft, The Hague, Eindhoven, Gouda, Leiden, Maastricht, Nijmegen, Rotterdam, Tilburg, Utrecht and Zwolle start ZEZ logistics on the 1st January 2025.
