Paris is going to tighten the standard for its ZCR (restricted traffic zone) from June 2019 on.
Only vehicles that meet the standards for the Crit'Air sticker 3 are allowed to circulate.
The standards that have to be met in order to get a Crit'Air sticker 3 are:
- Diesel cars must be first registered after 31 December 2005 (usually Euro 4)
- Diesel light duty vans running on diesel must be first registered after 31 December 2005 (usually Euro 4)
- Petrol cars must be first registered after 31 December 1996 (usually Euro 2 and 3)
- Petrol light duty vans running on diesel must be first registered after 31 December 1996 (usually Euro 2 and 3)
- Motorcycles must be first registered after 31 June 2004 (usually Euro 2)
- Diesel heavy duty vehicles must be registered after 30 September 2009 (usually Euro 5)
- Petrol heavy duty vehicles must be registered after 30 September 2001 (usually Euro 3 & 4)
