2018 was the first year that Stuttgart met the PM10 Limit Values.
The EU Particulate Air Quality Limit Value allows for 35 daily exceedences of the 50 microgram per m3 standard.
in 2018 Stuttgart exceeded this for only 20 days. In 2017 there were 41 exceedences, in 2016, 58 days.
In terms of Feinstaubalarm days, in 2018 there were 67 days, compared with the 2017 62 days.
