A low emission zone is in operation since 1st October 2017. 

The LEZ is in operation as a differential charge. This means it is included under the Oslo Charging Scheme.

Oslo also has an emergency scheme  in cases of high pollution.

Oslo is also implementing measures to remove cars from the city centre by 2019 and improve the quality of the city centre. This is being done by removing parking spaces and making more space for cycling and public spaces, and has already started.
