Paris is going to tighten the standard for its ZCR (restricted traffic zone) from June 2019 on.

As a result of a legal case, Berlin has been requested by the court to have a Euro 6 diesel low emission zone in 2019. The city has not yet confirmed this, so it is not yet on our Berlin city page.
As a result of a legal case, Frankfurt has announced that it is likely to have a Euro 5 and Euro 6 diesel low emission zone in 2019, also affecting Euro 1 and 2 petrol vehicles. It is often referred to as a 'Diesel Ban', or a 'Fahrverbot'.

Rennes has an emergency low emission zone in place from 1st October 2018. From the 1st October 2018, at times of high air pollution there can be a temporary low emission zone, and other restrictions.
The UK cities of Birmingham and Leeds are expected to have Low Emission Zones by 1st January 2020. These are called Clean Air Zones (CAZ), and are low emission zones combined with a toll for vehicles not meeting the emissions standards.

have emergency smog schemes.
