The Access Regulation (ZTL) of Firenze covers part of the historic center.
There is also an LEZ in place in Firenze.
The ZTL consists of five sectors: A, B, O, F and G.
During certain times no entry in certain parts of the city. See below 'hours of operation' and 'scheme boundary' for more information.

ZTL DAY: Area A, B, O: Monday – Friday from 07:30 – 20:00 and Saturday from 07:30 - 16:00.
ZTL NIGHT from first Thursday in April to first Sunday in October summer: Area A, B and O Thursday and Friday from 20:00 - 03:00 and Saturday from 23:00 - 03:00 and Area F and G every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 23:00 – 03:00

There is currently no Italian national scheme, but regional as well as individual city schemes.
However, there is a mobile phone app that can tell you when you are about to drive into a camera enforced ZTL.
There are various exemptions from the ZTL, but they all need a permit (means they are then registered in the white list) that has to be paid for!

- taxi and hire service with driver
These vehicles can enter the white list for free:
- electric delivery vehicles
- ambulance, police, municipality, tow truck
- hotel guests
- vehicles going to public parking facilities
- people working in ZTL
- utility services
Zona a Traffico Limitato (ZTL) or Limitazioni della circolazione, the general name for all access regulation schemes, also used for LEZs.
