There is also an LEZ in place in Pisa.

The ZTL Pisa is divided in four diffenent zones: A, B, C and D. No entry for vehicles daily from 00:00 - 24:00.

Need to Register?
If you need to enter Pisa by vehicle you have to get registered on the 'white list'. This is the regional vehicle register. You can only get registered if you are either a resident or if one of the exemptions for entering applies to you. See 'exemptions'.

Tourist buses can enter Pisa, but have to buy a special permit. This permit can be bought at via Pietrasantina parking area. The office is open Monday to Friday from 08:00 - 12:00 and additionally Tuesday and Thursday from 14:30 - 17:00.

There is currently no Italian national scheme, but regional as well as individual city schemes.
However, there is a mobile phone app that can tell you when you are about to drive into a camera enforced ZTL.
The following groups are entitled to a registration in the 'white list', but have to pay for this privilege:
- disability associations
- doctors' home visits
- electric vehicles
National exemptions for all ZTL:
Categories stated by law: public transport, vehicles for disabled people with a registered disabled persons badge.
Resident’s vehicles, private car park owners, public utilities, hotel guests, vehicles owned by shops or companies inside the ZTL, delivery goods, car sharing, home care, visiting doctors, night-time surveillance, artisans, funeral company, voluntary organizations.

Tourists who have their hotel in the ZTL are advised to talk to the hotel about the ZTL, to avoid fines.
Special exemptions may be granted, if there is an important need to enter the ZTL when it is in operation. For example loading / unloading, couriers, commercial activities etc. Talk to the local police about it, contact details below.
Loading and unloading is allowed at 07:00 and 20:00 after paying for the proper registration.
